I was wondering if you have someone that you sponsor or help who is in hunger. I have just started sponsoring two children who live in in Ghana, west Africa. I know I won't be rewarded here on earth but I am making my deeds for eternity. How about you?

I greatly admire you for doing this. I have many times wanted to do something like that but afraid I've never had the money to spare. I'm sure I have much more than many people have but being a single mother with at one time 4 children at home, no assistance of any kind every penny went to them and keeping a roof over our heads. You are right though you will receive your rewards in Heaven.

I don't have extra money to spare, I am just doing a sacrifice to help this poor people, I saw the need and showed mercy, I really wish I could help more. I know how you feel, but your prayers will help too.

I do spend time praying for others less fortunate than myself. I see it even here in my home town, people without homes or even food. We do have a lot of places where they can get a bed to sleep and food to eat but a lot of people are too proud to turn to those places. I pray for them also. Then there are the ones who take advantage of the system and don't do anything for themselves. My heart goes out the most to the people who don't have any options to obtian help.

I do not have anyone specific I help with. I help locally with families in need and I participate in our Bishop's famine relief offerings, and other special things through our church. It is the most reliable thing that I know of to contribute through.

Yes you are a compasionate person, and that helps too. Whenever we can, we would show gratitude and sharing what we have is something we can do.

That is very good of you. I thought of sponsoring a child too to school through world vision but I changed my mind. I instead just donate to Children's Hour an hour of my earnings. Instead of helping other kids, I have decided to help those very poor relatives of mine first and help them be sent to school.
