How long will I be a newbie?

Hi I have an interesting question. I am wondering if there's a set time when you are not a newbie anymore? Maybe it has to do with your posting number, or the star's number (wow, I have a 10 :)) ?
Or however long you've been here? It hasn't even been a month yet for me I don't think.
I consider myself a newbie still. I need to read the rules and regulations. After I do that, I may not think of myself as such a newbie.
Posting questions about how to use the site is definitely the sign of a newbie. And I'm not doing that so much now. :) Starting to get the hang of it I think.
Thank you in advance for your responses.
Have a great day. It's a nice, sunny one here in WA.

It depends on whether it is your opinion that you are a newbie or someone else's. I started feeling a little less like a newbie after 500 posts because being able to cut and paste and handle photos is a big deal. But if you got a shiny blue star already you might already have gone past newbiehood. congrats!

Well thank you. whatever my shiny blue star means. I just know it's as high as it goes. I am looking forward to doing that. (being able to cut and paste) Maybe in a couple months. Or a few. Depending how much posting I do...
Hope you are having a good night.

I doubt there is any set protocol here.
I've been here 8 days and while I still feel like a 'newbie' based on that period of time, my number of postings and certainly my daily earnings would say that I'm a bit more 'seasoned' than that.
Forget about titles. Post, have fun, and make a buck!

Yep, me and my big mouth are finally paying off! I often wondered if I would ever find a way to put in on a resume.

Nothing in particular, as long as you already know how to cope up here then you're more than of a newbie already!;) The numbers or ratings doesn't make any difference, as long as you have something to share here and voice out.
Honestly, I was not like you when I first joined here. If I remember it correctly, it took me for about few months before I could get a grip about this site. Since this is the only and the very first time I joined such a community, not to mention that it's international and members do come from different parts of the world..
And so I wish you good luck, don't be hesitant in posting and making your point known!;)

Hihi Betty,
I don't think there is any fixed line so to speak.
-----------------------------------------------
Ok, jump over this line and you have graduated.
Nah, nothing of that sort.
I think you yourself will know when you stop being a "newbie". That's when you start feeling old and decide it is time to guide other newcomers around.:P

Hi I at the moment say that I am fairly new as I have been here about five weeks, I suppose the first couple of weeks I felt like a Newbie, didn't understand a lot of stuff, then got my first star and realised I had to chooose the best response and + rate each response (I never - just don't press the plus button, but that was only on one comment out of hundreds anyway). Welcome Betty, you seem settled here already. Ellie :D

I have been here for about a month or so and this is going to be my first payout this month...so I will be excited to see how mylot pays and depending on how they pay will depend on if i continue to post here on mylot...I really hope that they don't disappoint me with the paying method...I think that after a few months your no longer considered a newbie..

Im a newbie myself. I'm still learning and more interested in making friends. Reading rules and regulations is not my best asset, however I "watch and learn" is my best asset. And I will be happy just to earn something for doing this than nothing. take care my friend.
