Personally I think that calling someone an obnoxious weed is okay, though maybe he shouldn't have said it on the radio. It is a personal opinion, and is not racist etc, I know there is bad feeling between the two teams, and there is a line about what can and can't be said but in the cricket world of sledging this isn't the most serious thing that has been said

There should be a limit to what cricketers say to each other, but I don't think any side is whiter than white. i know England and Australian players have a go at each other. Am not sure what makes India and Australia take it a step further, if a player crosses the line then they should be punished, and players should know what is right and what is wrong

I can understand why people think that he should be punished. It was a stupid thing to do even given the context that it was in. Being aware of the radio station that it was aired on the people that were interviewing Hayden I can imagine how it would have gone. While it is no excuse for his answer I am sure he would have been greatly encouraged by these people. Really the whole of Australia should be punished as they would have laughed at it! In defense of Hayden, knowing the circumstances as I do Hayden was actually quite polite in his manner, especially for an Aus sportsman! I am not really sure how you can punish someone for their culture and unfortunately it is Hayden's culture that is at fault.

I certainly think there has been a level of unfairness in this tour. I think the Indians over reacted when they punish players for remarks they made. It is all about context and when the comments get taken off the field by the media the entire context gets lost. It is a shame that these incidents are part of the game

all that happened in australian tour enough is enough. What they thinks about indians that they can't do anything and they can say anything they want.Every indian cricketer should tell them what they are capable of.I think harbhajan singh is facing them and causing great damage thats why they are afraid of him and doing nonsense things.

If the same words have been uttered by any Indian Cricketer, then the total scene would have changed and already would have been punished! Shame on Australia Cricket Management. Hayden deserves a heavy punishment.

yes you are right If this was told by any indian player the ICC had suspended or cut match-fees of that player till now. They are partial and everyone know that very clearly after all happened in australia during tour
