I'm confused

I don't understand how some people can drive their vehicles peering thought litterally a 2 inch by 2 inch spot on their windshield and think this is safe. I realize it cold out and nobody likes to clear snow and ice off a car but come on people. It only takes a few minutes and I would feel safer on the road.

Me neither sweets! When I could still drive and had to travel to work I would rather get up earlier and out of the house to clear my car properly than take a chance of not seeing another vehicle or even worse a pedestrian - that just doesn't bear thinking about! xxx

A car is so dangerous if not used properly but to do that around a school where you know there are lots of kids? Doesn't bear thinking about! Thank you for the br! xxx

It would be horrible to hit a pedestrian. There are penty of schools in the area so kids are always around in the mornings.

Yep, how dumb. Go out and warm up the car for goodness sakes. If I could do it at 5:00 a.m. in Minnesota winters, anyone could do it!

I thought a lot of states now had laws about how much of your windshield you have to have clear of snow and ice.

They also have laws against tail gating and speeding... Does anybody obey the laws? I haven't actually checked to see how its worded here in illinois but i think it should be common sense to clear the snow off. Thanks for the reply.

There are laws about clearing off the windshields of the car, but I don't think that police ever ticket anyone on this. My husband keeps a separate set of keys and goes out and starts the car early and some times comes back in. That is way too complicated for me. I just go out, start the car and clear off the windshields and the roof of the car and the hood and the trunk and the headlights and the taillights and then I get a separate brush and clear off myself and brush myself off real good. It takes me quite a while to do this, but I make extra time. I am not allowed to work anymore, so, I do not have to go out be myself in the snow too often. But I always try to be very careful and clean the car very crefully.

I know just what you mean, how can they think that is safe, and it is just lazyness, I have to do it all winter long as well, Minnesota is not the place to be lazy like that. To much snow here. One thing I will say it is much more prevalent in the city then the country, maybe because the trips in the city are shorter who knows.

Even if the trips are short, there is plenty of traffic and kids walking to school.
