I was just travelling for 2 weeks and I went to this place in my country, Roxas City in Capiz. There, I stayed overnight at a place called 'Roxas President's Inn'. I had room service for coffee and sandwiches and I really had the nicest surprise...they have the best brewed black coffee I have even tasted in all my travels in my country. I am not one who really go for brewed coffee since I like using instant all the time. Most of the time, I find brewed coffee too black. But my! I just love their brewed coffee. They put some flavors in it that is uniquely their own and even its brewed and black, one can't even taste the bitterness. Once you taste their coffee, you get an explosion of flavor in your mouth. It was a pretty nice experience for me and I would certainly stay in their place again just to get another taste of their brewed coffee. Have you found the best coffee in the world for you? If so, where and when?

i believe in you though i have not been to roxas city nor tasted their coffee blend. so far, i like mr.donut's coffee 20 years ago. we go to mr.donuts not just for the donuts but simply to hang out and to savor their best tasting coffee. the best in town during that time, and that was a longtime ago!even before the people power movement in the '80's.

I hope you would get to try it one of these days. I think it was something new to the place since I stayed there before and I haven't really noted their coffee, so i guess its a new surprise that the inn has. I remember trying mr. donuts or was that dunkin donuts, not sure, but I find them very strong and bitter. I gather from your response, that you no longer think that mr.donuts coffee is still the best in town. Right? Thanks for responding!

Yes. Cafe 21 is my favorite coffee at home. I drink once a day every morning. It helps me awake from still sleepy in the morning! Before that I drunk a lot of coffee but after having a baby I reduce to one cup a day and I drink more tea.

Thank you very much for sharing. Having a baby too is also one of the reason why I reduced my coffee intake. Have a nice day!

Hi cdparazo! Wow, that must have been an experience! Was that one of our local brewed coffees or imported ones? I do have a lot of brewed coffees stocked in my cupboard because my hubby's sister always sent us regularly brewed coffee. I guess my favorite are those of Starbucks and Folger's but not really distinctive for me or should I say, not something that I can describe as an amazing experience. haha..Just my thoughts. Take care and have a nice day! :)

That's just it, the taste was pretty distinctive. Though I suspect the coffee is local but it also doesn't taste like barako coffee either. It also doesn't taste like starbucks. I tried asking the waiter about the coffee but all he was willing telling me was that its local and they are flavoring it.
