Me...the naughty spy!

In one of my trips, I was tasked to gather data as to the sales performance of our competitors in one particular store. With the data that I will be able to gather, we will decide whether to push with my proposal to enter into a concession contract in that store. When I went to the store, I tried chatting with the different people in-charge of our competing brands and found out that it would be impossible for them to give me the data of their sales performance since its supposed to be highly confidential. So I tried to talk to their department manager and as we talk I got to mention that we might enter into a contract with their store and she eagerly showed me that sales data of the other brands. She was supposed only to show it to me to convince me that we won't be making a bad decision in putting our stocks in their store but not to let me copy it. HOwever, she got distracted and had to go to the cashier's counter to invalidate a certain transaction entered erroneously. I took the opportunity then to get my digicam out and took the pictures of her logbook where all the sales data are found. I felt uncomfortable, guilty and sooo naughty afterwards. But I also felt good that I got the data and more! I certainly made a very good report and will have another store before the year ends. Have you done any spying that made you feel the same?
