Everyone has a technique I want to know yours. Do you cry or just act dumb? I don't know you tell me :)

I have gotten out of a ticket by having license, registgration & proof of insurance ready by the time the officer got to the window. I just had a demeanor of "well, you got me". I think that, at least in this one case, not complaining, not trying to get out of it, whatever, was what got me out of it. I suppose that anyone's previous driving record has something to do with it as well.

I've been driving for many years (I'm 53), but I've never had a ticket.
I've only been pulled over twice. The first time I was speeding. I just told the officer the truth. My Mom called me at work and told me she broke her arm...I wasn't thinking of how fast I was going. He let me go, but told me to stay under the speed limit.
The second time my tag had expired. It turned out I didn't get a notice of it; I just went to the DMV and got a new tag and that was that.
