I just finished watchin' the constant gardner with ralph fiennes and rachel weiss.. the story's about how pharmaceutical companies take advantage of the majority of the sick people in Africa to use them like lab rats to test new medicines which kill people in the process. It's heart clenching to see the situation of people there living with AIDS and dying from treatable diseases like tuberculosis.. It may sound cliche but I would also want to help (given the money and power) to improve people's lives in Africa. would you too? what do you think can people do or countries do to help this poor people in Africa, who have no power over to change the quality of their lives? its really moves me..

I've read the Constant Gardener, and own it on DVD though have yet to watch it. It's good that it moves you and if you want to help in anyway you're best to research the best charities of foundations to give your money to that will help in the most productive way. Of course another way to help it to go there yourself and help in some hands on way - though a lot of the time when people do this it is with the best intentions but can make little difference in the grand scheme of things. One of the most important parts of charity in the administration - ensuring that all that funding is used in the most efficient way for the Afrcian people. In a way that can be long lasting, and beneficial to more of the popluation.

That's good. If you really want to help them, I'm sure you can find many ways to do that. You can be a volunteer of NGO's who have programs to help people in Africa. I heard that Africa is actually beautiful continent.
