i think Peter Petrelli is too powerful since he can absorb, copy and use all the powers of different heroes at the same time, he's like Rogue in Xmen but he keeps the powers permanently with no consequences!
that's why i think the story always tries to make him weaker by giving amnesia or being led astray by the enemy like what kenzo did to him. because if he just all out goes toe to toe with even sylar, sylar would not stand a chance..
what do you think? :)

I agree Peter just has everything. The "super hero" no pun intended...... well never mind. Personally I think the series would be much more interesting if all characters had there own abilities and that was that. Maybe a few had more than one but none of this one hero absorbing all the others. In the end it will always be sylar and peter at the end which will get old.
Season 2 was certainly a bit of an odd one personally. I just hope that they learn from there mistakes and make future seasons GREAT like the 1st one.

i thought so too, season 2 was kind of 'plain' as compared to season 1, in season 1 I always looked forward to the next episode with excitement! but in season 2 i was just 'oh ok, there's a new episode'...
maybe the writers' strike got to the season 2 script..

I was doing a bit of searching back when season 2 "ended" and long story short they realized they made quite a few mistakes throughout season 2. They vowed to go back to the ways of season 1 with more cliff hangers and they also will introduce the "threat" much sooner.

I would argue that Sylar is too powerful, and that Peter's powers were raised to such a level in the story to counter-balance him. In the end, Peter is the only one that can really stand blow-for-blow with Sylar. The only issue is that Peter cannot always control his powers, e.g. Ted's nuclear ability. This novelty of discovering and absorbing new powers and learning to harness them in such a short time is what keeps Peter from being too powerful and keeps him human.

well i think peter is really powerfull but being very true and kind he gets duped by many ppl and so his powers dont help him much too.but thats wht makes it good in the story cause if he wouldnt be like that then the story would have ended very soon just like a cowboy movie.

Peter is like the power database. hahaha
well I still think he's cool. I would want to have his powers.
and unlike sylar, he doesnt have to be all messy.
