A few years ago, I was diagnosed with having gallstones. The doctor said that when you have gallstones it's like a game of endurance on how long you can take the pain. He said that the best solution is still to undergo operation. Last week, I had pain attacks again. Should I take his advice or look for other alternatives?

I've been dealing with this same problem for 2 years now. What I find odd is there are times I can eat McDonald's and it will have no effect on me. I will go an entire month or two eating whatever I want and getting no side effects. I will begin to believe the gall stones have gone away. Then something will set it off, and for a few months I deal with it all over again. Lately, it doesn't take much to set it off. I think it's getting to the point where I no longer have an option but to undergo surgery. I have an attack daily and usually it's over nothing.
In the long run we can't avoid the surgery, it will have to be done eventually, and I think the sooner you can do it, the better.

I think so. I'm doing fine now but I see to it that I really watch what I'm eating. I don't want to undergo operation that's why I'm delaying it as much as possible. I do hope that a new treatment for this can be found soon. Thanks for the response and God bless...

My gall bladder started acting up on me when I was pregnant with my son. He is now 8. I got my gall bladder removed when he was just 6 weeks old. The pain was terrible. I decided to go with the surgery. They used to zap the gall stones and leave the gall bladder, but the stones will most likely come back and cause you pain again.

Well that completely up to you. Have you looked into other alternatives? You don't want to suffer with pain if you don't have to. My prayers are with you. Keep us posted.

heart go for the surgery its the best way.
it is a bandaid surgery done with a little camera and
a tiny incision. They might keep you in over night
'but you will be senthome the next day and in a week
you will be back to work. the scar is tinyand you will
not havethose awful tummy pains anymore.I had it done and I was sixty eight andI had no problems at all.You have no
problems at all after the surgery. You will be
so glad you did it believe me.
