great old board games that you drag out and play occassionally? What is your favorite?
I have an old Clue board and an old Monopoly board that I still make the kids play even though we have newer copies. Plus "Game of the States" and "Landmarks" are still fun.

I still have all my old board games from when I was little. We play several of them including Payday, Mystery Mansion, Titanic (I have two versions), Super Aggrivation, and many more. I guess I am a collector of board games. I just can't seem to walk away from a neat looking game (although the ones with $80 price tages I tend to avoid).

I agree. In fact I enjoy yard sales and thrift stores and have a hard time passing up board games, especially if I've never played them. I wanted Mystery Mansion really bad when I was younger, but I still don't have it. I do have one Titanic game though.

Titanic: The Board Game from Universal Games 1998 where you have to collect your personal property around the ship and make it to the lifeboat in time. My son's a Titanic fanatic, but we don't play it very often.

I love board games which involve a lot of thinking, so I really like Scabble and Scrib-age. There's also another one called Visionary, in which you will guess the color combination your opponent has by analyzing the clues he gives.
When I was in grade school I used to go to this place which was a Board Game Haven. Studentscould go their and hang out and play board games for free. It's so sad that because of the digital age those simple pleasures are now gone.

Sweet. I still know of some small hobby stores that have board game days and I have heard of Scrabble clubs and the like, but they seem hard to find in some areas.
I don't think the "digital age" has completely destroyed these interactive pleasures, at least not yet.

Actually many specialty gaming stores hold gaming nights for a variety of games. My family has been working on starting a gaming club for families in our area. Most of these things are free, although you may need to buy supplies for the games they play. They also often hold tournaments where you can win cool prizes.

Battleship is definitely a classic. Doesn't matter if it's a modern digital monster or an old set with faded pegs, although I prefer the latter.

We take the questions out and take them on trips and stuff. Trivia is always awesome!
