Well I just had to share this one. I know I have not been on Mylot too often these days because of work pressure, studying, choir practice for our annual convocation and paying attention to my lovely girl( whom I love to bits). Well we share office space with another Unit and I just could not help but overhear several conversations and the attitude of a temporary person who was asked to sit because an officer was attending classes for four days of the week over a six week period. First, when she walked it I said to myself "Well, .... has her hands full with this one". Her attitude how she spoke to her supervisor, how she spoke about her supervisor infront of her and how she totally behaved had me literally feelign sick to my stomach and disgusted. I have seen and herd people behaving in ways that are terrible but not to disrespect the supervisor to her face! Then she planned with her friends from the Unit she belonged to so that she could return there but her supervisor complained to the Head of the Unit and she had to return immediately. Now he was really upset and was verbal aboutit and said that we are hear to train and groom each other and what leader would he be if he allowed her to be dictating what she wanted and get away with it. Oh she was also insinuating that her supervisor had nothing to do and could monitor both desks, I was so upset. NOw if it so happens that whenever I finish my course and I have been promoted as a paralegal and needed someone and she was sent my personnel her I would not want her. I belive in giving people all the chances they need in life to make themselves better because I need those chances from you all too but when you are not willing to see yourself and humble yourself and take time to grrom and learn - I cannot help you!. You will have to want to be helped and willing to help yourself first. I know you guys are outspoken and honest. Am I coming down too heavy on her. Note though I never said anything to her and I treat her with the respect I give all workers.

proffessionalism does seem to be dying...I have worked with many people who do not act professionally at all...one lady actually came in and purposely burped as loud as she could! What is wrong with them? There is one thing to have a little fun at work, but you can have fun while still being professional or being rude.

I have had a chance to work with someone like her you just described but only difference was she was extremely sweet to her superiors and damn rude to all her colleauges and juniors. I had a terrible time working with her and even got blamed for being egoistic for complaining about her. No one could see her other side. I finally quit the job and then she did meet her match after with my replacement. I never came to know though if her behavior ever improved. I am sure though that she will not go far in her life with that kind of attitude. One reaps what one sows.

I have learnt that with people like those you ignore them. you see they all know the right answers and are the intelligent ones and everyone else is a dunce. Well as you so aptly said it we shall all readp what we sow. As a matter of fact the Bible says God will set a more wicked person over them.
