what do you do to get rid of bad emotion?

when i run into some negative emotion,such as angry,sad or disappointed. my way to get rid of it is taking exercise.
when i was in university, i used to keep running slowly along the river for more than one hour. such mechanical sport made me peace of mind and return to myself soon after sweating.
my friends, what's your way to get rid of bad emotion? do you turn your friends for help or do the same way as me?

Guess what? I run to mylot. I love this place and its my way of relaxing and getting rid of all my troubles. Talking to friends here help me a lot as I live in an isolated place where mostly we have families that are my hubby's co-workers and you can not have a personal relationship with them so my lot gives mea much needed outlet for my feelings.

glad to see your response. it's true that we can get rid of sadness,suspense and such bad emotions through communicating with others on mylot. i think every kind of emotion needs an outlet whether it's good or bad. hence, we share hapiness as well as sadness with friends.
mylot is such a helpful place! i wish i can often see you on mylot. lol~~~

honestly i am sad now cause my mom misunderstand me for something i did.i dont wanna talk back to her cause she is my month.i just chat with my friends with IM ,post here,reading joke stories.but if in the daytime, i will go out alone to buy something i like,or phone my friends out to go someplace for playing.and above all are what i did when i in depression,but i hope everybody could far away from negative emotion.

from my point,you'd better have a long close talk with your mother, since you have been misunderstanded. all of us know how important it is in keeping a long healthy relationship. it also works in dealing with family matters.
i hope you have walked out from sadness now.

I agree that exercise is a good way to get rid of anger, sadness or disappointment. I also try to think of good things and turn my mind away from what is causing my bad emtion, but this is not always easy to do. If I can go to a nice place where it is peaceful I will feel in a better mood.

yes,sometimes i try to turn my attentions to other things but doesn't work always. it's easier said than done. i used to eat a large number of food, only to find myself fatter and fatter, which makes me more disappointment.

The best way for me to get rid of bad emotion is to have a friend talk with.And engaged in studying or any other activities to keep myself busy is also a good way to release the bad mood.I wish all my freinds will in good mood everyday.

I guess your way to get rid of bad emotion is more healthier than mine. When i run into bad emotion, i usually go to sleep( i just like sleep), and when i wake up, i will forget all unhappy things and be happy like before.

I don't do anything as healthy as running. I think of the proper revenge if I am angry. I write off the person I I am hurt. And time is the only thing that helps if I am sad.

I love music and it sways me when I am in a bad mood or angry. When I get angry or irritated with my husband I go and put on my ear phones and put my soft music on and in a few minutes I am calmed down again. This is the way I have always handled my anger or bad mood. It has always worked for me. I always have my small CD player and my soft music with me no matter where I go. So if I get angry someplace other at home this is with me to calm me down.

I dont take exercise but I tend to listen to music if I am feeling like that. I put music on that uplifts my mood and that I can sing to and it cheers me up no end. My 16 year old is going through negative emotions at the minute and he tells me he feels angry all the time, so I suggested to him to join a martial arts group because they are good for feelings like that. So he was quite pleased with that suggestion and is going to join one down our local leisure centre.

Go to KTV,karaoke is a good way to make you get rid of bad emotion,and if you have money,travel is also a good way.

When I run into some negative emotion, I will listen to the radio, especially for that old recalling songs. Actually think twice, what I will do depend on what kinds of bad emotion is. If the beloved person made me sad, I will conduce above. If the job made me angry and disappointed, I will eat delicious food such as Mcdonald's and KFC and go out for a stroll unwilling doing anything. Maybe after two or three days, the negative remember will be gone. I always find mistakes from myself. sometimes maybe I also made mistakes. If I couldn't change others, why not change myself?In a words, I must adopt the society in spite of the unfairness of this world.

when i am in a bad mood, i will hide in a corner and cry. it doesn't matter if i'm angry, sad or disappointed. when it gets too much for me, i cry. it's good because it releases endorphine which helps me feel better. it also helps remove toxins caused by emotional stress. so i just find a quiet corner and cry my eyes out. after that, i feel totally fine. cheers ;p

Hi,my friend,sophialin.I ususlly try to turn my mind away from the things which trouble me.But before that,I must find a way to solve the problem.Usually,I like listening to music and sing the songs I like. See some DVD which I like.I like"friends",you know,a sitcom of six friends.Internet is also a very good way to sway the trouble because there are many friends on net,you can talk with them.But the basic way is you know the trouble and know how to solve it and don't think too much about it.Things may not as well as what we had expected.And no matter how bad the thing is,it will soon be the history.

I'm not sure if this works only for me but whenever I run into some negative emotions, I grab the nearest book that I can get my hands on then find somewhere peaceful and quiet to read. After 5 minutes or so, I feel all better. If that doesn't work, I either call my best friend and tell her the whole problem which has been buggiong me or I just listen to some music. I have say though that exercising also helps relieve some of the negative emotions. The only reason why I don't do that is because of my hectic schedule and the tons of projects being left on my shoulders. Some also say that eating helps though I doubt that you'll appreciate the results after because you tend to eat a lot when you're upset and before you know it you already gained a ton of weight.

whenever i feel bad, i will just tune in to my favorite comedy radio station and it will surely brighten up my day. or if im in the office, i will just go online secretly to YM (because YM in the office is prohibited :p) and chat with my best friends and all my bad moods are gone like i didn't had it at all.
for me not to experience bad mood often, i see to it that i have an activity to do every weekend, its either i go out with friends or go out with my family, doing this helps me free from everyday stress ahead.
