Egg Yolks, runny or firm?

I know this is kind of a mindless discussion, but I was eating a hard boiled egg with my lunch and starting thinking about how my egg preferences have changed. When I was a kid I hated runny yolks, my eggs had to be scrambled and cooked till they were firm, but recently I have started craving runnier yolks, even with boiled eggs, I prefer that the yolk be a little on the underdone side.
So what do you prefer?

I don't want my eggs runny all over the plate but I also don't want them overcooked so I am very picky at how my eggs are cooked. Most restaurants you go to they are always really runny.

I know, they make the eggs too runny. When I eat out, I ask for "over easy" and they come out pretty good. At home, I put a cover over my sunny-side up eggs and they come out just perfectly, similar to "over easy".

I prefer egg whites. xD
I really don't like egg yolks, even in scrambled eggs.

When it comes to sunny side up, I like them runny, but not too runny. Mostly, I like the yoke hot, but slightly liquidy. Then, I can put it on bread when tastes divine. I don't really like soft-boiled eggs, though, I prefer those eggs overcooked.

The only way I will eat the yolk of an egg is scrambled. My husband and oldest daughter like runny yolks. My son is like me and eats scrambled eggs. Our youngest really doesn't care for eggs at all,but will eat scrambled if that is what we are serving.

children relate everything they see to different things..such as a--is for apple or blue is for boy or even meow is for cat. that is the way they learn, unfortunately they do it when it is completely unnecessary. runny yellow eggs.. can you imagine what they are relating it to?? lol and plus their taste buds are still underdeveloped. they can't taste all of the good things in the food like an adult can.. that's why they love the salted and high caloric meals--- once introduced to them they are hooked!!! t.. tasting is not just with you mouth, it is nose first and then your eyes then your mouth mmmmmm. but not for a child-- what is appeasing to the eyes about yolk and the smell, let us not go there, lol well, i hope i help you to understand why those runny eggs were not appealing to you then, but delicious now, lol! have a good day!

I love for my yolks to be runny. I always cook mine sunny side up but make sure I get all the white done. The white looks to slimy to eat if it's not cooked. For my boiled eggs they are hard. Once in awhile I will also make omelet's and the inside is just a little runny as well.

I grew up on over easy eggs. I didn't know any better. When I finally discovered the other types of fried eggs, I switched to over hard. I never really cared for runny yolks especially when they ran into my other food.
Now I still prefer over hard, but not too hard. Just ever so slightly runny. Of course I don't order that way at restaurants! ((grin))
My oldest daughter likes runny yolks because she likes to dip her bacon in it. My middle daughter prefers omelettes with meat in them. And my son likes scrambled with no white showing at all (I have to pre-mix before placing in pan).
But my all-time favorite type of egg is deviled. -Tink
