How big is your purse?

Or, your wife's, girlfriend's, sister's, mother's, etc....purse?
I am a basics kind of girl so, I don't carry big purses. I carry a compact, chapstick, lipstick, my wallet, a pen, any store coupons for the month like department stores, a travel sized bottle of hand lotion (they have small bottles at Bath and Body Works, a few random pieces of paper neatly stored that may have a note or something on it, a letter from my Mom that touched me, and that is about it.
How about you? Are you a basics girl or do you throw everything but the kitchen sink in your purse?

I have become a basic girl. I used to carry a large purse. Some would even call it a Tote Bag. Had all kinds of things in it. Besides the usual bank book, lipstick and keys. I was always being handed thing to carry for the family. I decided to clean out my "tote" one day and pulled out husbands dirty socks from a camping trip. Numerous kids toys. To many pens and the such. No wonder my shoulder hurt. Then I downsized to a small clutch. Barely holds my cellphone. But I just carry my own stuff now.

Good for you! I forgot to include my cell in that list. It isn't very big though. So, it doesn't take up too much space. A lot of women suffer shoulder pain from their purses. I am glad to hear that you took care of yourself and called an "enough" on carrying everyone elses' stuff!

I tried downsizing my purse a couple of years ago and it was just too small. My problem is that my hubby seems to think that since I carry a purse I can carry his wallet, cell phone and keys when we go out! I guess I can't blame it all on him.

You can downsize if you just tell him, "nope! It won't fit!" Doesn't he have pockets? LOL! I only occasionally carry something for the hubby if I can fit it! Some of my purses are a little bigger than others but, it isn't often that I can carry all my stuff (which includes my cell phone...I forgot to add that) and then his wallet and whatever else!
