When did you have your surgery done? August 4, 2003
Was it Open or Lap? Open RYN
Where did you have it done Kettering (Dayton), Ohio
How much weight do you lose? I went from 322lbs to 135lb.
It was a dangerous weight for me (135), I looked very ill. I have since put on 25 lbs and I think I look good. I know that I feel so much better.
I still have a problem with overeating. I am addicted to food or maybe just eating. I constantly got to be nibbling at something. I cannot wait until warmer weather where I can start my walking again. I NEED to walk.

mine was open done in west virginia i was 369 iam now 274 my surgery was july 19 2006 i have came to a stand still wish i could lose more

Is there any way you could cut back more? drink more water?
Walk more? I have seen many people that has hit plateaus
before and sometimes these things worked. Do you attend a
support group? If ya need to talk, just PM me. (((hugs)))

Well, you already know that I've had the surgery. But I just couldn't take it anymore seeing your wonderful discussion with no responses. C'mon people! Join in here and add your experience or questions to this post!

Hi jiffy, I have had the bypass done and it will be three years in July...I am so very happy for having it..I didn't have any complications with the surgery or since then...To date I've lost 170 pounds...I haven't read any of the responses as of yet so I don't know what has been said...I added you as a friend and if you want to chat let me know....

july what mine was july 19th 2006 . i was 369 lbs went down to 260 but now am 274. i had an infection but no other complications.

July 25, 2005..I was 370 and am down to 200...I lost the first 100 pounds in the first five months.. I haven't gained any back...I can't wait to get outside again so I can do some walking and stuff...This winter seems to be going on forever...Congratulations on your weight loss....

Hi,
I've not had GBS yet but I hope to earn enough w/ my biz to fund my much needed surgery. Since 1997 I've been researching and familiarizing myself w/ WLS and its specs and advancements over the years. I'd really like to add you as a friend. I am checking into the gastric bypass now, and have done all my testing. I am just waiting for all records and such. I had to do a 6mo diet, and I am not sure if I am over with that yet or not. My regular dr is saying that I started in March, and would be completed this month...but then the weight loss surgeon is telling me that I have to have completed 7 visits, which moves me to Sept. So I don't know...but hopefully it will happen soon. Hey you can add me on obesity help too, my username is devonnc. Look forward to chatting with u all and getting some pointers too.
