I would definitely go to the hospital. Hypoglycemia can be a precursor to diabetes, but it is a bad affliction in and of itself, so I would go to the doctor to find out what is going on and how I could take care of the issue so I could continue to live a happy healthy life. Remember, not going to the doctor doesn't make the problem go away, it gives it a chance to get worse.

Symptoms of hypoglycemia are not indicative of having or developing diabetes. When you feel shaky it can be the result of any number of issues. Be aware that changes in blood pressure and blood sugar levels vary throughout the day. These two items are closely related and if you feel more shaky after exercise or even walking down the hall, it indicates there are many other factors that need to be investigate. Go to the doctor and remember to provide the following information: 1. A food diary recording anything you put in your mouth for at least a week (i.e. food and drink, candy and gum, count it all). Please be honest in recording the amounts. Don't worry about judging or being judged, instead realize that if you don't provide the complete picture it can move the doctor away from the actual diagnosis. 2. Record the activities that you are engaged in when the feeling of shakiness comes on. Rate the level of shakiness (e.g. most shaky, very shaky, shaky, somewhat shaky, normal, good). This helps the doctor to see if the condition is impacted by the types of activities, whether you are sitting or standing or lying down, etc. 3. Provide a family history with how long ago your mother was diagnosed with diabetes - and tell the doctor it is controled by diet. Be sure to mention anyone else in your family that sufferers similar symptoms or also has been diagnosed with diabetes. Also, for the fun of it, record information for any person in the family that currently has problems with thyroid, heart or blood pressure. It helps the doctor get a mre rounded picture. Don't worry about the reasons why it is happening, in the meantime record the information outlined in (1) (2) and (3) to take with you to your doctor.
