I've suffered w/Fibromyalgia since 1998. Suffered quietly because many people didn't recognize the disease or believe in it...I just started Amitriptyline and oh my gosh! What a difference it has made. I don't know how many people are out there w/Fibromyalgia without treatment success, but, I have had great healing from this medication. Does anyone have any Fibromyalgia stories to share?

Can you tell me what you symptoms were? When did you first know something was wrong?

Hi. I can. It's a long story so I'll try to be short. First of all, the fatigue. Oh my gosh. Overwhelming. The only way I can describe fibromyalgia pain is it feels like you're lying on a bed of marbles, or that feeling you get after you do a serious ab workout, that soreness, or someone squeezing your muscles...I get muscle spasms every night, I suffer from restless leg syndrome and IBS which are lumped together in Fibromyalgia sufferers. I typically have severe morning and evening stiffness. Pain in my elbows that feels like someone is stabbing them w/a knife, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee and ankle pain and back pain. I sound like a hypochondriac, huh? But, it's real. Oh, the numbness in my left leg sometimes...can't forget that...
