Pros:
"Crisis" will please long time Jack and Laury Fans. Some entertaining portions.
Cons:
The legal portions are written wrongly. I wonder if he's read Grisham... naw..
My Impressions:
"Crisis" is a novel perfect for established fans of medical fiction writer Robin Cook. If you are a rookie Robin reader, I highly suggest that you not read "Crisis". Not only is this one of his most low caliber books, but it will only interest those who are well acquainted with its main characters,(and from previous books.. notably "Toxin")Dr. Jack Stapleton and Laurie Montgomery. But you only care about them because something mayor occurs in this book that completely alters the ongoing relationship they hold. Beside that, the book holds little entertainment, for those that are in the dark, when it comes to this medical couple.
"Crisis" is a weak medical/legal story of Dr. Craig Bowman, who is served with a summons for medical malpractice. Its medical content is fair but lacks in attaining our attention. There are some nice portions of story, but only few amounts. Jack enters into the story because as a medical examiner, he comes to be needed in the story to help Bowman. Jack is a well written, entertaining character. But he enters at the legal point. The point that is horrible.
R.Cook equals: GoodMedicalNovels and equals: BadLegalWriting.
