Just tell her the truth...you're not interested in being her friend to this extent, you're sorry if she got the wrong message, you're really annoyed by all the phone calls etc. If she continues to call, just gently hang up the phone when you hear it's her. Don't talk or react. If she rings back, disconnect and leave the phone off the hook for a while. Tell her it's illegal to stalk a person even on the phone and you will call the cops if she continues.

REasons why: 1- i think shes a freak 2- she maybe likes you 3- she maybe misinterpret you kindness to her 4- she is desperate 5- she is obsessly inlove with you. (becareful) Solution: better try to explain to her how you feel to her and that you just mistaken by gving your number to her. JUst be real but dont use a painful and hurting words. First of all, yeah. I think you did made the mistake of giving your number to some girl or anyone especially that you don't know or haven't met her/him in the first place. Like you said, your trying to be her friend which is good of you. I think regardless of if you get rid of her politely or rudely, it still won't assure you of not hurting her. But you can't just tolerate the girl bothering you. If you can't take it no more, then the right thing for you to do is just tell her(talk to her) frankly that you can't allow her to do what she is doing anymore. It's your right for privacy or something and yet I don't know what's up with her why she won't stop bothering you. It's like an obsession or something. But at least tell her what you really want rather than extending the pain in the butt by tolerating her. -best of luck to you-

Well this would depend on if you would like to be frinds with her afterwards. I mean if you tell her to f off then more than likely she woun't be your friend. If you want to remain friends with this girl then tell her that she is calling too much and you have other things to do and like designate a time of day or week that she can call you.
