Why the POP UP ADS!!!

Not long ago I bought a new PC. The PC is great but there is one problem and this is the reason why I dont use internet explorer and its because every time I use internet explorer pop up adverts keep coming up, I try to turn on the pop up blocker but they still come up. I can just go into internet explorer its fine then go onto a website and it brings the website up and then opens a seperate page with an advert on there for win a holiday or casino ads it just seems that every time I go onto a website with internet explorer it opens up a seperate web page with a full page advert on it. It only happens when I use Internet Explorer though not Firefox. Firefox works just fine. Anyone have any ideas about how to get rid of these ads in case I do need to use IE?

hi pompeyfan, if the pop-up always appear when you using IE, what you need to do is, Go for IE setting then adjust the security setting. This will help you. But if you just start your computer then this pop-up appear on your screen. Then this is not from IE problem anymore. This is called virus, this will make your computer slow down in performence.

Hi there thanks for that. Nothing comes up on the computer itself only when I use Internet Explorer. I use Firefox most of the time and thats fine nothing comes up.

Ive just tried adjusting the security setting, turning the pop up blocker on again and they still keep coming up. I just cant understand why.

well, you must configure your internet explorer popups blocker, if the problem remain, use a firewall wich have an integrated popups blocker (i use kaspersky internet security...) or simply use firefox or opera browsers ;)
