Dirty Windshields: Another Peril of Winter Driving

So, I live in Ohio, and winter driving offers its fair share of "fun" - icy roads, wind, snow, and the infamous "wintry mix." Well, I was driving on the highway the other morning on my way to a dentist appointment, and I encountered yet another challenge of winter driving: a dirty windshield coupled with ineffective wipers and frozen washers. Between the salt and dirt plastering my windshield at 65mph, some snow in the air, and the glare of the morning sun (which was actually shining), visibility was poor, to say the least. My windshield wipers worked (which isn't always a given in the cold of winter), but my washers were frozen. Needless to say, the wipers became pretty useless on my crusty windshield. I literally got off at the wrong exit because I couldn't read the sign well. Yeesh! What's a driver to do? Move to Florida, I guess (haha).

Driving in winter is not always my favorite. However, I think that driving in snowy weather is much better than rainy weather. At least, you don't get splashed by flying trucks
