What is the advatntages of LCD monitor over CRT monitor?

i heard LCD monitor consumes less energy than a CRT and produces less hit so its a money saver. but the best part of is it saves a lot of space.

if you still have a crt monitor you are outdated. you should change your monitor immediately! not only a lcd monitor good looking, it also saves you a lot space. things like these you should not ignore because when technology comes up with new things, you should be more appreciative about it because technology is so cool and awesome that you can't live without. i love my lcd monitor and my laptop and my tv and everything else that involves technology.

The quality of a LCD screen is far superior to that of a CRT. There is also the added bonus of size and weight, whereby a CRT monitor is extremely heavy and takes a great amount of space due to it's depth.

The obvious one is size. CRT takes up MUCH more deskspace then a LCD.

I have a laptop now and so have packed my LCD monitor away. I used it between 2004 and 2007. I think LCD monitors are expensive but worth every penny. Most LCD monitors are attractive to look at and they are the screen is flat and comfortable to look at for ages. I liked being able to move it without feeling I would hurt my back. LCD monitors take up less space and so I had mine on a narrow and good looking pine desk. The higher price shows convenience and style. However on a limited budget of say a student I would say think carefully.

Except for the price , LCD monitors have more advantages than CRT monitors.I will list each of these : -Consumes low power. -Takes lesser amount of space. -Takes less time for cleaning/maintenance. -You do not need to put a light filter as the light from LCD monitor does not effect your eyesight as compared to CRT monitors.

There are less advantages of LCD TFT as compaire with CRT Monitors. as per advantages is concern LCD Monitors comsume less Electricity . In Backup It runs 2times than CRT Monitors. LCD have very low rediation to protect your eyes. and commonly it takes verly small place on your desk.

They're lighter in weight than the equivalent CRT monitor,have a smaller footprint,so take up less space on your desk,use less power,they're affordable,My 19" Widescreen one has speakers built in,which no monitor I've had before did,and It's Silver,not BEIGE like any CRT I've had either,and matches up with my Silver chassis Dell Computer! Did I mention it's widescreen? All my CRT monitors were 4:3 aspect-now I can watch movies too..

Only the size and the weight because the CRT monitor are still more performance for now.

First, a LCD monitor is smaller than a CRT monitor. Second, the LCD monitor doesn't have a high temperature and somewhat it's safer. It uses less electricity. Third, it's good for your eyesight. I love China

the lcd monitor is much less heavy,takes much less space, the screen is bigger and the colors much better than the crt plus it much more modern and easier to read and easier on your eyes too. I got one for Christmas two years ago and I love it so much.

i think lcd have a better display and picture quality then a crt monitor and also its compact in size so its easy to move.

LCD has many advantages over crt monitors. The first one is obvious its size and weight.But it also saves power .Its also good for eyes compared to crt.so its better to have lcd .The best advantage of it according to me is its look

Ok, your health. The CRT monitors make a lot of radiation even on 80cm of the screen, that's bad for the health and it is very probable that you will have headaches if you are working on the computer for more than 3 hours or something like that. And the LCD monitors don't do much radiation, maybe something like 7-10cm from the display but not more. And another thing is the size. LCDs are much bigger than CRT.
