difference between wifi n wimax

how u differentiate wifi n wimax like 1: in range 2: frequency 3: data transfer speed

I don't really know what the differnence is between them but i can tell you that i don't really know if it my router or not but i hate wifi because it is extremely slow and it is not that easy to get a keep a connection when you actually have it...so i woudln't suggest that you go and buy a cheap router if you were going to buy one...
