i find for many discussions even started months ago or already have many users responded, user hasn't selected a best response.
i wonder why they prefer to withhold this item of right or they just forget to select it. is there something more i ignored?
when do you select a best response?
i'm willing to know your opinions about it.

Most of my posts won't have a best response because they are truly opinions, there isn't a best response.

but you still have to select a best response, don't you?
nothing to do with good or bad, just a prize for their hard working and attention to your post.

No. You don't have to select a best response. I checked with My Lot when I first got here and they said it is nice to select a best response, but you don't have to.I have had a post with not one but two great posts and I couldn't decide on which should be the best so there isn't a best response. And I have a post where I did select a best response Only to have another post that was just as good or even better. I remember writing to the person to consider themselves being rewarded the best response too.

Marking best discussion is not considered important by many at Mylot.com. They want to post much and more in short span of time. They do not like to pick a best discussion or mark them best. I think it is not good attitude. We should mark the discussion best which seems us best. This is what appreciate the participant and he or she pay thanks in reply of the message of best discussion.

what they've negleced is that their earnings is also related to their ratings which is given by other members. if other members also forget to rate them, they'll upgrade slowly and earn less.
anyway,i didn't mean to complain about someone here as i was just such person a few days ago. i'm giving a kindly advice on rating.

I do forget to select best responces, but also I have the problem that I cannot choose one because I feel that more than one was very good. I usually try to leave it a few days so that I can think about it and it gives people chance to respond.

yes, somtimes it's really difficult to choose the best one. hence,i won't forget to rate them with '+' at least.
thanks for your reply.

I've only been here for 12 days and if I don't do it, its because I just plain forgot.
I guess it's not part of my routine yet. I should fix that.

i think many users here like you just forget to do it simply. maybe a fraction of users have never noticed it.

i think many here are just posting discussions for earning money. So they wont spend much time to rate the quality of discussions.

you know, comment on response also increases our earnings.what's more,it doesn't take much time to select a best response or rate.i neglected it before but keep rating each response to my post now.
i think i should give them a prize for participating in my discussions at least.

I don't really forget, but I really haven't selected a best response yet. If I only get a few answers, I don't select best response for a while until I either get a good answer, or pick someone. Most of the time, I select Best Response to anyone who either gets exactly what I am saying, or says something I haven't really thought of who makes a good point.

I won't forget it. Actually I will check my unresolved discussions now and then. When the time is about 1 week, then I will select the best response. It's a kind of appreciation to the people who have responded to my discussions. I notice that some people never choose the best responses and I don't like it. Although the best response isn't given to me, but someone who replied the discussion shall deserve it.

Hi...
Sometimes I have overlooked discussions and not assigned best responses. However when I am here and not too busy I try to assign them as soon as interest begins to wane in a particular topic. If the post had a lot of responses sometimes it has been hard to pick a best of the best and I'll leave it until I have time to give it more thorough attention.
In my case it isn't a case of consciously withholding...more a matter of how much time I have..how many discussions I have posted at any given time...and how much attention I have to give to the selection. I like to read and re-read replies and do them justice rather than just picking on for the sake of doing it.
Good question!

Hi Sophialin,
I always select a best response, I even go back after a while and double check all of my discussions to see if I did. I also rate discussions I come across with the little + sign, I don't know if some people didn't know that or not, but it helps with your rating.
you have a happy Easter!
And thanks!

I too just seem to forget, althought the other day I did go through them all and sort them out. Mainly I forget because I do not always get a lot of responses so I think well I will leave it and then do it tomorrow. With me tomorrow never comes.

i don't forget to select the best response. i just have a difficulty to do it, coz every opinion is unique, and there is nothing to do with good or bad. maybe we should change the term, not " best response" but "the response(s) i like" or something like that. and we can choose not only one response.
