Smoking make me sick

It's strange how people know that smoking is bad for them yet still smoke. 100 years ago people didn't know that tobacco consumption was not good for their health. But now, almost every body knows that smoking can cause a variety of diseases. Why do people still smoke? Beside it's horrible smells, it's even expensive.

I totally agree with you. My husband smokes, but he smokes in the kitchen under the stove fan, because that way the smoke gets sucked out, and I don't have to breathe it in. He chooses to smoke, I do not. People smoke because they're so addicted to it that they don't care that it's bad for them.

they "found out" actually in 1939, when despite huge amount of deutschmarks they could only prove it through statistical science....and they purposefully warped the results. That is the nature of the evidence today. The same as it was under the NAzis. All efforts to test the hypothesis have failed. No animal in a lab forced to smoke ever developed lung cancer. Smoking is not horrible...people would not do something and enjoy it if it was horrible so again you believe a lie. It is only xpnsive becu of the vat amount of tax on each pack which in th UK for xmple provids £10 billion to the governmen. The cost of all smoking related disease to the NHS is £3.5 billion. and boy are they exagerating to even produce that figure. So it is about time people started respecting smokers for the disproprionate amount of tazes they pay next to non smokers. you may want to have a GOOD look around hre is you think evryone "knows" smoking is bad for you. thankfully, some serious acadmic thinkers know its a lie with sinister motivation: http://www.forces.org/evidence/index.htm "repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the new truth" josef goebbels, misinster of propaganda nazi germany And boy has "smoking s bad for you" been repeated till its drummed into us and nobody until recently has started to question the validity of that claim.

There is a clear stigma against smoking. I eat red meat even though it's bad for me. I drive a car fully aware of the danger I put myself in. No one protests sports despite the risk of injury inherent in the pass-time. Each individual is responsible for informing themselves and deciding if each risk is worthwhile in their lives.
