FYI: PS3 does not play HD DVD

Just bought a ps3 and a bunch of movies. I thought that the blue ray and hd were about the same thing. Popped in an hd dvd and nothing. Luckily, we just bought the movie today and they let us return it even though it was open.

thats good that you got your money back , but nope it does not support HD DVD , kinda a punch in the face to Toshiba for they're lack of luster sales in the HD DVD market , now everyone is on Blu Ray so your movie collection is going to grow go PS3 go !
