i didn't realize it was an earthquake (its epicentre was some distance from where i live). it was late at night and i couldn't sleep, and i thought i was having a dizzy spell and that was why the house seemed to be shaking. after a few minutes the feeling passed. funny next morning when i heard on the news that i was actually an earthquake.

Yes, I was little and my mom said I wouldn't go back in my grandma's bedroom. I said mommy the ground moved back and forth, it was scary and grandma's room shook really bad. It took me sometime before I could gain the courage and venture into her bedroom again.

I've never experienced an earthquake, I've experienced a tornado and that was enough for me.

I was both scared and amazed. I live in California and was in San Francisco when a big quake hit in 1986. I was at home with my parents and a friend. When the quake hit I was in the kitchen with my friend and my dad caming running in, scouped us up and ran out the kithen door. I don't remember the shaking, all I remember seeing is the 2 mountain peeks behind my house switching heights. it looked like one side would move higher than the other and then it would swith. I don't know if that can really happend but that is what my eyes saw. It was amazenly crazy.

Not really. I've only experienced one small one. I'm more frightened of the hurricanes that frequently make their way across my state.
