Yes, they suck! Currently I became ill and had to withdraw from college, which meant leaving my love. How often do you think I should go down there to see him? He prefers as often as possible, and really, so do I, as long as I feel up to it. Any advice on how to deal?

yeah long distance relationshops are a hassle , and its problay the biggest test of trust ever, i think both of should make an effort to see each other , not only you but him too, im sure this is goingto cross your mind once you make some trips back and fourth to see him

i'm in the same situation. i'm not sure about you, but we're bout 5 or 6 hours apart.
honestly i feel that the biggest factor is trust. if you truly and honestly trust him, then that will make things a whole lot easier. likewise, he needs to be able to trust you.
at the end of the day i know that i'm going to bed wishing that i was with her, and she is wishing she was with me. that's what gets you through the tough times. if there are any question marks...well...that's when everything starts getting messed up!

Hi! I suggest you just consider and find a best frequency of coming to see him. You know, if the distance is too long it may take much time and energy for your coming to see each other. At the beginning you may think it's OK, but as time goes by it is possible that you feel tired for the trip. And this may effect your love. So you might discuss with him once again and gain mutual understanding, then your love will be much easily to be long lasting.
