what's the meaning of life?

everyone in one time of her/his life has thinked -why do we live?, what is the meaning of life?- i think is just a waste of time....and a punishment from god to screw with us....what do you think?

Life is meant for you to find and fulfill the purpose for which you were created. Much like any invention, to really know its purpose, you should not ask the invention what it likes or wants, you should instead go to its inventor, in this case your creator. Once you find that purpose, life truly starts making sense and it stops being just a series of cause and effect events or what's worse a series of random coincidences.
