Mine is a Gateway preloaded with things I liked when I chose this Computer over 3 yrs. ago. I was never one to get one that you had to have assembled from the beginning to end, or one to build one myself. Just seems like it would not be as cheap to do it that way either.

hi vhayste. ^__^
our computer is assembled too. my mother had my officemate's help when she bought this computer. i wasn't around then because i was attending college. its cheaper to buy a computer set if it is assembled. our computer had been here for a couple of years and has undergone a lot of repairs and changes in parts. but it really is convenient to have a computer at home even if i have to bring it to a shop if it has a problem. so i try to take good care of it and if i have extra money, i buy new parts and replace the old ones. ^__^

I think it is about 50-50 for my case.
Some of my computers are "branded" while the rest are assembled.
I don't assemble them myself since I am not that great at hardware stuff. I get a knowledgeable friend to help me with that.:)
