We usually buy 1% or 2% milk. Skim milk is a bit too watery for out taste and whole seems to go bad faster than the lower fat milk (that could just be my imagination though, it has been so long since I got it).

I like whole milk, but my husband likes 2%. Since the kids drink whole, we usually had a gallon of whole and half gallon of 2%..

Whn I hear people saying 2% milk is healthier it makes me laugh. I buy 3.2% milk and it still has nothing to do with the "real deal" from the country cows :P Moreover, 1.2% is not a big difference if you want to be slim but then ther is if you want to have your vitamin balance right. many vitamins need fat to be absorbed by us.
Moreover, low fat milk tastes like water so why shouldn't I buy water instead? ;)

We use full cream milk usually and toned milk sometimes. But I Like full cream much more than that of toned. But milk prices have increased much more in in past years. So only one or one and a half liter of milk we consume daily.
Comments appreciated.
enjoy :

I have 1/2 gallon lactose free milk for my daughter when she comes over. My milk is 1/2 gallon of 2% milk, but many times get 1% for myself. They were out of 1% milk.

We usually keep two percent, although I do reconstitute skim milk for baking. I love things rich and creamy and I will drink skim milk in the am, but I find that for cereal, I prefer a little more richness. I do not care that much for milkshakes. I find that skim milk is a bit watery for my taste, but since I am watching my weight I have to use it and as for cooking and for making crepes, you really will not see any difference.

As for me I hate milk...
I know it's the richest source of calcium and I had to take calcium pills but still can't drink milk...
If I had to I would go for skimmed milk...

Vitamin D milk is all that is in the fridge here. I don't like anything else as 2% and skim taste watery. My kids love chocolate and strawberry milk. I don't drink much but I love it with Oreo's!

1% milk 1/2 gallon in the fridge because 2% milk makes me sick for some reason we don't go through a whole gallon in a month so we keep a 1/2 gallon of 1% and 1% agrees with me more than 2% does but I have had my gall bladder out and I have had my son and I was lactose intolerant when I was a child and was when I was pregnant so I think my body reverted back to that and will only allow me to drink 1%.

I actually have skim, whole and half and half in my fridge right now. My boyfriend likes the whole and half and half on his cereal. Sometimes I like the whole milk if I am making an instant breakfast in the morning. I typically use skim milk though in cereal. I like to use the whole milk in my mashed potatoes and when I make cooked pudding, or baking. It makes the recipes so much more rich and thick. Personally, I can do without the half and half, but he likes it, so it's here too. It's way too thick for me to eat with cereal

We keep regular milk in our fridge because the others seems to go bad faster than the regular does. We don't use it very often so the longer it lasts the better it is for us. Strange I know but it isn't feesable to keep buying more and more milk when it goes bad instead of it getting drank up.

I keep whole milk in my fridge. I dont like milk in general, I use it for cooking but I cant actually drink it. Even eating cereal is hard for me. But my daughter likes whole milk also. I think the others are so watered down it doesnt bring out any taste for her.
