I swam in the Crystal Cascades in tropical Queensland. The water was cool and refreshing in a hot sunshine. There were many pools to swim in. It was such an amazing experience.
Have you ever bathed in a water fall?
If so where was this and what was the experience like?
If not have you seen a waterfall?
What did you think of the waterfall?
Thanks.

Oh, I grew up in Strathpine, Queensland. Wonderful memories. Anyway, I went to Mauii once and climbed on top of a waterfall and thought I had the courage to dive off. NOT! So I climbed back down and swam in the pool below. There's also a waterfall here in our natural forest. It's usually too cold to bath under when we go hiking. Next time I'll try it anyhow. Brrrrr.

I swam in a waterfall on the then unspoiled island of Kho Chang, which in Thai means Elaphant Island, and even though the day was extremely hot the water was freezing. It was so refreshing and enjoyably after you got used to the cold water. It was so deep you couldn't see the bottom.

Yes a couple of times already. We have lots of waterfalls here in the philippines. And the experience cannot be compare like swimming in the resorts. The water is so refreshing and i love it because of the sparkling waters.

I used to spend a lot of time in waterfalls when I was younger in Kentucky. There were some nice ones hidden back in the woods near where my mother lived for a while, and it was neat because not many people knew about them. One of them had a cave behind it that we pretty much used as a clubhouse, and we used to bathe in the waterfalls often.
There are a few waterfalls around where I live in upper Michigan now, and I really enjoy exploring those as well. There's just something so special about waterfalls... how they can be both energizing and calming.

There are small waterfalls in and around Samoa and after swimming in the sea, we would find one and rinse off there. Even though its freezing cold, it is sooo refreshing on the skin - feel so clean afterwards!

My mother lives in a place where there is a water fall. It is very cold and very nice with natural surroundings so and so that it has become a tourist attraction. When I was young, I always look forward to summer vacations as there will always be a chance to go their with my family or with my relatives. We actually live in the in the city and the waterfall is around 3 hours bus ride. But there is no problem at all since my mother's ancestral home is just near the waterfall and we always have a place to stay when we go there for a vacation.

I have seen quite a few large waterfalls. I have only bathed in one though, or swam in it. It was a small one in the woods where I lived in Branson, MO. Me and my sisters used to hang out down there a lot and play in the water.

I have bathed in springs and ponds but never in a waterfall. I would love to try it though. that seems like a perfect scene for a movie! I would really like to see a waterfall. I have never seen an actual waterfall.

Wouldn't that be a truly magnificent experience to bathe in a waterfall, the only waterfalls I have seen are small ones certainly couldn't bathe in them, you'd die of shock from the icy water. One was in the Lake District and the other was on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. I think waterfalls are wonderful but I love water anyhow. You are truly lucky to have swam in one, sounds so relaxing, fun and a great experience indeed, thanks for sharing, as always!

I haven't actually bathed in a waterfall, but have seen others enjoying it. It was way back in the woods in Nova Scotia. I also lived in Niagara Falls, but I'm thinking that those falls might not be appropriate for bathing in..lol. As for what I thought of the falls, they are beautiful. I used to get off of work and take only a 10 minute walk to the falls every day...it helped me relax.

I have seen many waterfalls - mostly I can only feel the mist of them as they spray but on occasion I was able to stand behind and enjoy the falls cascading - once in Guatemala but I was only 8 and then in New York State 0 when we stopped the car to make a picnic in the woods - we came along a clearing and a stream 0 up from the stream a bit we found the water fall. how beautiful and secluded it was, all to ourselves.

Hi,there,
Actually,I haven't have such a good memory as you did..there is waterfall in our place but its scale is not so large as I have seen from the TV it seems there is a big difference between them ,or maybe what I have seen in my place is not the so called as whaterfall .....
As or me the waterfall seems like a really splendid scenery which is admired by a lot of people......
This is just my impression on the waterfall ..

I have never had the opportunity to swim or bathe in a waterfall although I have seen many of them. I would say that all of the ones I have seen here, there has been no access to getting into the water. I have been to Niagra Falls and there is noway of getting even close to the water never mind swim in them. I have also seen a couple up north in Manitoba and again, there is no access to it. You can only observe them from a distance of at least 300 yards so and you are way up the mountian side so you could never get down to the water level.
You are very fortunite that you have been to see some where you are on ground level and can go into the water. I think that, that is very uncommon in Canada and the States. You must live somewhere abroad from me.
