I remeber a long time ago when I would walk to and from school we always did the "step on a crack and break your mom's back." I thought I would eventually just forget my silly supersttions as I got older. But today I was in the middle of feeding the dog and getting him water. My husband was in the kitchen and noticed the littlething I do when I get the dog his water. For some reason I have to rinse the bowl 9 times. I won't give him the water until I do that. (No it's not OCD,LOL) He also says he notices that when I cook I throw salt over my shoulder for luck, thasnk goodness I sweep when I'm done cooking a meal or we would have a ton of salt all over.
I never really thought about any of these things until hubby brought them to my attention. I know I'm not the only person in the world who is a little superstitious so I would like to know if anybody else has superstitions and what they are.

Sometimes yes, I used to here that if you eat with your left hand your mother is going to loose one of her boobs! One day I tried eating with left to prove if the statement was true, my mother caught me staring at her and asked my why. I told her, I thought you were going to loose one of your boob. I was wrong. It did not drop. I am not that into superstition.

I try to work against superstition, like black cats, are unlucky well I had two of them,
but I still get uncomfortable if I break a mirror though.

I just posted a discussion asking who throws salt over their shoulder for good luck... so you do that too? Was it something your parents told you to do or ?? Do you believe that it brings good luck? I was curious to find out why people did that because I saw it done on Racheal Ray's cooking show yesterday. :)
As for me being superstitious I don't think I am but I do one thing that others might consider superstitious like not walking under a ladder. I had a friend in Samoa who is Tonga and she never washed her hair during the time she had her monthly as she says it brings bad luck. Odd but each to their own.

LOL! I guess great minds think alike, haha. If you haven't seen my post on your discussion I told you even if it's not true I don't want to go against something. I'd rather do it and hope for good luck than not do it and have something terrible happen.~D
