What do you do about RUDE people?

I usually speak up, but I try to make it sound like I don't think that the person meant to do it on purpose. I say whatever I want to say in a friendly way, which leaves the person no choice but to either apologize or admit that they were trying to butt in, or be mean etc. I've never come across anyone who didn't choose the apology route.

I usually just give them a dirty look, but don't say anything because saying something doesn't do anything but get them to mouth off at you some more or laugh right in your face. I guess you should think about whether or not you want to take the chance of making it worse for yourself, whether or not you want to take the chance that they may get pissed off and start fighting with you; physically. Some of those people just weren't brought up with manners, have had so many people do it to them that they start doing and others are just plain mean.

I usually don't say anything. In my opinion they aren't worth responding to. Nothing I say is going to make them change, it'll just get me angry and what's the point of that?

Well when it is someone that cuts in front of me in line (Hasn't happened to me here yet, but in USA it did.) I would physically remove the one way or another. If they jumped ahead of me and put their stuff down I would remove their stuff. If they tried to nudge their way in, I simply block them from it. I have no tolerance for this sort of stuff. I will get down and dirty with them if they think I won't. If people just say nastey things to me then I ignore them because they are nothing to me and don't deserve the energy....

I can't stand people who are rude and mean. I usually will say someting about it to hubby that they can hear as well but sometimes when they are really being rude I will say something to them. I usually get a "what did I do look" Oh well it made me feel better ..lol

My wife gets so angry at me because of this. Whenever that happens to me I confront them. Most people don't do this so when you do confront them, they are shocked and in my experience it usually turns out in my favor. The bad thing is sometimes it doesn't. I have to admit, I enjoy fighting fire with fire.

Depends on my mood. Usually I jsut ignore them but sdometimes (especially if it has happened a lot that day) they get the sharp end of my tongue and I usually end up getting anywhere from an apology to heads hung in shame.
