I've currently been reading alot of dark fantasy. I have to say I totally get into it! I'm reading a series by Kelley Armstrong right now, and it is so good! So, what is your current favorite genre? I love alot of them, but I jump from one to another every few months.

I am reading a police thriller now. I have several authors in this genre that I like to keep up with. I am waiting for a couple of biographies to come in at the library for a change of pace.

Oh I went through a police thriller phase! I can't remember the ones that I really liked, I think they were by J.D. Robb? Oh I can't keep all my books straight in my brain...

Yep, JD Robb rocks!!! I am now reading Faye Kellerman's Peter Decker series. I am only on book 6 of 16, so I have a way to go. She is a very good writter. Not a lot of fluff.

I love so many different kids like mystery and fantasy that its hard to decide. I like to write and my favorite genre to write is fantasy because you can create your own world.

Both are genres I enjoy! :O) It is tough to decide on one, right? LOL I write also, though I tend to write more humor, and traditional fiction. Who knows, I may venture into fantasy myself! :O)

For some reason, I find myself reading a good bit of historical fiction lately. I always liked Edward Rutherford but lately, I've been reading Philippa Gregory's books set in Tudor England. I just checked out a book st in the reign of Catherine the Great.

Historical Fiction can be very good. I loved all of the books that went along with The Other Boleyn Girl. You know, every time I get obsessed with a book (like The Other Boleyn Girl) it ends up a movie, hmmm why is that? LOL

I LOVE fantasy books. That's all I read (trying to like science fiction too since fantasy books are too few lol) and I always have a book with me. Dark fantasy is not so common and I don't go looking for them. If I happen to stumble on them, so be it. But what's your definition of dark fantasy really? As for books by Kelley Armstrong, I have only read Dime Store Magic which is okay.

Dark Fantasy is the lumping together of all the supernatural things like vampires, werewolves, witches, sorcerers, etc. Thus giving it the "dark" theme. :O) I grew tired of the same ol elves, pixies, fairies, etc. Dime Store Magic was okay, but that was the middle book in the series. Bitten is the first one, I think Stolen was the second... But so far there are 6 in the series, I'm on the sixth "Broken" and another is due out, just no idea when... lol After this one, I'm moving onto a vampire hunter series. I can't remember the author, but I'll remember sooner or later! LOL

I guess the genre I'm reading right now would be considered science fiction. But it is also mystery. I am on a Douglas Adams kick, and recently finished rereading his Hitchhiker series. I am now reading his 2nd Dirk Gently book, "The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul". I will then move on to "The Salmon of Doubt", and I'm not yet sure what genre or genres it will fall under. Hahahha.. if there's such a thing as a random or sarcasm genre, then I would think all of Adams' work could be put into them as well. :P

I love suspense drama thrillers. I am awestruck by the story line and how the author present the facts, its amazing. I also love detective stories, the stories are somehow fictional but few of which happens in real life.
