I just went to the zoo last week, and I'm 20 years old! It was a date- just my boyfriend and I at the Indianapolis Zoo. It was great- it's a lot faster without small children. We managed to finish a leisurely stroll through the zoo in an afternoon. It is a fantastic place for a date. We held hands during the dolphin show, got our picture taken with the seals, and I fed a giraffe! The zoo is easily enjoyable for older people.

Yeah you are right,, it feels good when you see your child reating very possitive to anything that she saw and touch around her,, that show how healthy she is,isnt it?

Ohhhhh, it is so sad to haer about that and it is a very long time already, I guess you have to try and visit the Zoo so that you will enhance the shimmering of those animals......

The last time I visited a zoo was when I was 18, that was 18 years ago now! I don't really like zoos to be honest, I think animals should be allowed to live in their own habitat and not caged and made as exhibits, I know if it wasn't for zoos we wouldn't be able to see some animals not native to our countries but I still feel sad when elephants are in a pound in the zoo when normally they would have the freedom of roaming around but they are also hunted so at least in the zoo they are safe from hunters who only want them for ivory. I love seeing penguins which I'd never see otherwise.

the last time we visited a zoo was a in 2005 when we went to pittsburgh...i love their zoo, its so kid friendly...the toronto zoo (where we live near) is quite spread out and requires a lot of walking (which i dont know that i will be able to do anymore...due to my knees).

Hi there Ohara!
Sounds like fun! Well, the last time that I have been in a zoo was in December 2007. That's when my family and I went to Manila for Christmas Vacation and to visit our relatives there.
We went to Malabon Zoo and our son had a great time especially when he saw the zookeepers fed the alligators, snakes, tigers and the lions.
We will be going back to Manila on April 2009 so I am looking forward for our next zoo visit. I will make sure that we visit the Ocean Park too.

The last time I went to a zoo was about a year ago. It was my local city zoo. It's pretty small, but they take good care of the animals. :]

I haven't had been to it for a long time now, though there are certain occasions where I am near to the place. I don't have a family of my own yet, maybe that's one reason too.
But hey, it's really fun to visit them sometime so we could get to be familiar with the floras and faunas that can be found and are unique in our place. Also, the other species of it. Not to mention, of changing our perceptions on animals that we thought are dangerous and also those of which are totally harmless.
There are lots of things to learn, too much that I think my post wouldn't be that enough to provide all the reasons!LoL

I can't even remember and I am sure it wasn't on the last 20 years. I was still in elementary when I got to visit the zoo and from what I remember, it wasn't that impressive either. The zoo in our city isn't extensive nor really well supported by our local government. I guess they just have other things to spend the funds on.

Hello dear Ohara. On February 29th, I went together with my colleagues to a local famous scenic spot with lots of animals in it. They are all caged animals, except huge ones that need to have more space with no top. Animals help us to learn more about them, but I do not think that they feel happy being caged in the cages because of the limit of their freedom. I think that it is a good idea to have animals in its natural environment with no cage, but fence in a large plot of land for travellers to pay a visit to. Thanks.

We went to the zoo with my husband's family in New Mexico last October. We had a great time. I love going to the zoo.
This summer we are planning on going to the zoo in Philadelphia. We go to Philly quite often but never go to the zoo. We also want to visit the aquarium in Camden, NJ.

Its funny that you asked, because this has come up here at home. We used to have a family pass, and we would go all of the time. It expired, and now we haven't been back in over a year. On Friday, while the big kids are in school, my hubby and I are taking the 3 yr old to the zoo. We are so excited!
