What weight loss diets have you tried and tested? Which would you warn against? Which would you reccommend? Has anyone heard of the kickstart soup diet? What have their experiences been with it? Low gi?

Diets don't work, changing the way you eat and exercising more is what it's about.

What kind of suggestions could you offer? Are tehre any foods in particular I should try to avoid/eat more of? How much exercise should I be doing?

I don't believe in diets. It's a lifestyle change.

What would you reccommend then? Are there any changes in particular that should be made? Like swapping to food with a low glycaemic index or exercising regularly?

Atkins works, it is maintaining the lifestyle that is tough. I find if I do my own modified version of a low-carb diet I usually do pretty good with it, and yes, it does work. Trying to keep a low-carb diet healthy without slipping up is the hard part.
