Love vs. career, man left you for work, sad truth....

It's been a few months now since i had a break up with my Ex. We had a good relationship and I know that he loves me very much... as much as i loved him, years past and he realized he needed to fix his life first, have a stable career and don't think about love at that moment...and offered friendship. It really broke my heart, i don't want to hope but there's still a part of me hoping that he would come back to me. We had a good friendship at this moment, but I still love him.

Do you belive his words? Why does he put love on the opposit of career? If he really loves you he can balance love and career. And furthermore you can help him with his career.
