So when it comes to music, what do you tend to enjoy more, the lyrics of the song or the rhythm and beats of it (the instrumentals.

I like music for both of these reasons. I don't really like music for one reason or the other. If I find the music or the lyrics to be terrible, then I really will not listen to it. In my opinion it just makes for a terrible song, so why listen?

Im more into the beats because sometimes the beats good but the lyrics suck. That being said sometimes when i break up with a girl or im feeling sad i like to here slow songs and listen to the lyrics haha.

It's the lyrics and words written in it that I enjoy the most, the more it has sense then the more it shows how good the composer made an effort to express his feelings through a song. The beat and melodies only come second to me, since there are different genres of music that could produce good music through good instrumentals. I could listen to any kind of music, as long as it delivers a good message and expresses one's feeling..

A good song has to have a good over all beat, this is what usually captivates me. If the lyrics are good that great but i dont think they are necessary. However i csn think of a few songs that have horrible liyrics which lead me not to like them. If i concerned myself with the lyrics more than the actual rythm of the song i might aswell listen to someone recite poetry.

For the most part a songs beat captivates me. If the lyrics are great thats just a plus. If i caredmore about the lyrics i would just listen to poetry.

It all depends on what the song is about for me. If the song has a good message and the music is good then the lyrics, but most of the time it is just the combination of the two that makes the whole song worth listening to.

I have to say, I enjoy them both equally. I need a nice beat to groove to and some bomb lyrics to recite...LOL I just love a meaningful song!

I like both things, tho the rhythm and beats is the most important thing. If a band cant play its not a band :)
