Its been three days since my voice started to trail off. I try to talk but all I can muster is a whisper. Its so disappointing coz I can't communicate with people along the way. I went to the grocery store yesterday and I can't find what I was looking for. I can't ask for assistance because they won't even understand all my grunts. That's just an example. Now I get to know the life of the mute. How difficult it is. I've been trying to gain it back by drinking different drinks or medicines but still I can't talk. I've tried the ever reliable lemon juice but it didn't work for me this time. Oh boy, I'm so exasperated and drained. Please help me.

My doctor once told me to put a pinch of salt in the palm of your hand and a dash of lemon juice with it, like your palm and swallow. You will feel an insant relief. I hope you are better soon... :-)

I was going to say apple cider vinegar and honey, too. Also, rest your voice and don't keep trying to talk.

Try soothing your throat with some raw honey and undistilled apple cider vinegar. Honey has great healing properties. Take about a teaspoon of each mixed together. I like to put it in hot or warm water.
