Here, in Italy, the cost of a newspaper is from about €1.00 to €1.20. That means $1.50-$1.80. A lot! How much does a newspaper cost in your country?

So, Italian and British newspaper's costs are similar. But in America they don't spend so much for a newspaper. Why?

The main newspaper in my area cost 50 cents during the week and $1.75 on Sundays. it is more on unday because it has a lot of sales and couppons in it. There also are other features that are not in during the week, like the colored funnies. It also has the entertainment, Tv Guide and other weekend suplaments.

It depends on the newspaper. Here in Philadelphia, the most popular daily paper is $.75 but there is one for $.25 also and there is even a small free paper. The Sunday paper is about $1.50 but if it is the new York Times, it can run $5.00.
