Dry spell.

I'm having a hard time keeping up with my writing. I wouldn't call it writer's block. I have a couple of pages of titles that I want to write to. But I have no ambition. I had set a goal for myself to write at least one article per week at Helium, and one on AC. I have written one, total, in the past two weeks. I have been a little busy with other things, and when I do sit down to write, I get distracted from it very easily. I just have no desire to do it.
This is bothering me, because I've really been excited that I have sold some articles on AC, and I want to do this to earn some extra money. Eventually I'd like to make a career out of it. But how can I do that when I just can't seem to get going? If you've been through this, how did you get past it?

If I really can't think of something to write, I stop for a while and rest my mind. I'll do something else for a while and wait for inspiration to hit me. ^_^

Dry Spells happen to everyone. Everyone all over the world has differenttechniques for dealling with it. Some people exercise others play games or travel to places they have never been. I typically dive into some movies that inspire me. I try not to watch stuff that is the same genre to avoid subconsciously ripping them off, but just something to kick start my enjoyment. Then when I'm back riding the high I buckle down and usually can get back into the groove. Good luck. Try anything that makes you happy and just keep trying.

I've been through those dry spells of just not wanting to write. It seemed like I had said everything on everything that I had to say. I wish I had a solution for you, but the only thing I could do was wait it out. Eventually you will come out of it and find yourself with fresh and interesting things on your mind again that you want to write out.
Writing is creative and it can take a lot out of a person, maybe more than we realize. It's probably a natural thing to have times of rest from it.

I write on Helium, and have set myself a target of one article a day for the next six weeks. This is generally money driven
There is at the moment a contest on that pays between $1 and $2.50 per article up until April. I like writing and whilst it is not purely money driven, as I like to learn, it is an added reason to complete each article

Wish I knew the answer SC as I am in exactly the same boat. I keep thinking of great things to write about but for some reason when it comes to the crunch nothing comes out!
Fingers crossed this soon passes for us both hey!

I have days when I feel inspired to write and on other days I look at Helium and MyLot and can't be bothered to join in with debates and discussions. I don't write an article every day and that was my original intention when I joined Helium. I do post every day in forums. I think writing a lot of short posts every day, in forums and at MyLot, can will lead on to writing longer and better articles.
