Wondering about bugs in Cuba

We're going to Cuba next week. I'v heard about ants in the hotel rooms. But someone also told me about spiders and scorpions? Has anyone else been there, and can tell me how much I have to watch for spiders and scorpions? How big are they?

Yes I've been to Cuba many times and have never seen any insect that was dangerous. Have walked on the beach and picked Oranges and Bananas in the groves. No problem.Its a wonderful climate always nice (unless theres a Hurricane). Would recommend Cuba to anyone who wants to Vacation in Paradise!
