Does anyone here have an interest in soccer and Fulham FC in particular

On the Fulham FC club messageboard we get a fair number of postings from Americans, especially as Fulham have a number of American national team members, Brian McBride, Carlos Bocanegra and Eddie Lewis to name three. There is no mention of Fulham here so I wondered if anyone here had any interest in Soccer and if you did, would Fulham having an American contingent in the ranks attract you to them or would you stick with the well known names like Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool?

Hah! Well, I love English Football but despite the fact that I live in West Sussex, I'm a Leeds United Supporter. Now, they have followers all over the World, but I've started one or two discussions on them here, and I don't get many responses from actual supporters, because at present, they're no longer in the limelight. Fair enough, I get responses from one or two of my friends who also like the game, but don't support Leeds!
I've been to Fulham's Ground once or twice, to watch Brighton play them. Because the ground is right next to the river, I found it very cold standing in the visitors terrace, but I enjoyed watching them play. They're a team you don't hear a lot about but they're a good side.
Naturally, being a Leeds Supporter, I'm not at all keen on Man Utd or Arsenal, but Liverpool are not a bad bunch! :)
Brightest Blessings.

Yeah, I realised real quick that soccer wasn't going to be a big talking point here. I guess this is going to be a real easy discussion to pick the best response to, LOL.
I never had a very happy time visiting Elland Road in the past but is was a Leeds fan who first introduced me to the sport back in 1974. I've followed Fulham ever since then - its a long story as to why - every division, so theres hope for Utd yet. The old Putney end where you will have been always was very cold and wet but the whole ground has been refurbished now and its a very much better place for visitors now. I think its a very special place to go watch a match. I used to go most weeks but I've fallen on hard times as well as the team, so a lot more restricted now.
Maybe I should mention this site on the Fulham message board, have to check the rules first though, dont want to get into trub. Pity about Dennis Wise getting poached away, Leeds promotion push seems to have stumbled since he left.

Ah! Right, so head it "instead of supporting Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Barcelona, LA Galaxy or Real Madrid, why not support Fulham instead, the Getafe of England"?
Local pub! Right, so your not actually 7 then? LOL. I cant go to the pub as I'd drink it dry if I did. Have not touched a drop in over 7 years. Have they got an AA section here? Must be one somewhere entitled "How many days since your last drink?"
Never mind - we can educate the Mylot community to the existance of football (Soccer) outside of the champions leage. I used to watch York City once.

Yes Barnsley beating Chelsea tonight has really made my day. Fulham tend to feel about Chelsea the way Leeds feel about Man Utd. Altogether a very satisfactory few days with both Man utd and Chelsea going out of the cup. Now if Bristol Rovers were to win I could at least claim my own team went out to the winners!

It's not that I support Manchester United but I grew up near the ground and was born in Salford. I remember the horrific air crash in the fifties and watched the team pull itself back into a great team. Fulham have had thier ups and downs like all teams and still bounce back.
Have a nice day from Deeeky.
