before the current Runescape version came out, there was an older version which is now called Runescape Classic(RSC). I assume some of you have heard of it and some have not. Well, I give you all a chance to find out more about it. Lately people have worked hard to release free private servers. Go to http://rsc.exofire.net you will find a list of servers! By the way if you see someone called Marx or Marx444 in one of those servers then say hi;)

I joined shortly after they released version 2 & people were transfering over. Classic is only available to people who still have a character that has played on classic consistantly. If a classic character doesn't play there for more than 6 weeks they get booted to 2. You can no longer create a character to play on classic either. Be careful if your playing your RS character on a private server on classic now then your on a scam site that is likely recording your password. Nothing your doing will transfer back to RS & When you do return to the normal game your character is likely stolen.

You have to create a new account to play in the private server. It's wise not to use the same username/password as in the official rs.

So your playing a ripped off copy of the old version that will never have any new updates or anything! What exactly is the point of that when you could just play the new one?

You are wrong, it is being updated, however not by Jagex itself, furthermore Jagex is not updating runescape classic anymore. The only reason I played Runescape was because of the player killing and Jagex totaly ruined it in the Runescape 2. That is my opinion.

Ok thnx for clearing that up.. I'm trying again. One question. Do these clients take you to the real runescape classic? Or is it a RSC that these people made over?

I joined runescape in 2002. It was the best back then a phat only 500k santa hat 400k everything was cheap except rune which was about 1 mil a piece. If everyone knew that phats and santa hats would become rares i bet you no one would sell them :D

In some private servers they give you phats and santas for free. The common problem in private servers is that economy is quite f***ed up(shops sell r2h for 40k etc).

I played runescape classic a few years back. IMO it was waayyy better than rs2. I eventually quit rs due to switch to rs2 However last year I restarted and was quite enjoying it but the went and took off wildy AND multi combat bounty hunter. THAT JUST PISSED ME OFF lol now I quit again... i'll try the site u hav up
