Why do people think you are a bad person because you don't go to church?

I was made to go to church every Sunday when I was a little girl and that is part of the reason why I do not attend now. I think there are alot of hypcrits inside those church doors so they have no reason to judge any of us who do not go. I have had alot of bad experiences with my home church, so I choose to worship the lord at home, where I know it will be respected.

You know, I wonder the same thing. My mother could not attend church because she was very ill and because she did appear sick on the outside, no one thought she was sick. But she was more christian than some of the people that attended our church.

This Upsets me too. I am not a regular church goer... But some people think as if its a sin by itself. it is so unfair that some people judge you when you do not go to church, while most who do aren't even living the life of Christ. I am not saying all church goers are hypocrites, but it does not follow that you are a better person if you regularly go to church. Some go to church to socialize and not to "pray" or "hear God's words"

people believe that you will go to hell because their religions or their belief says that way. if you know what is wrong and what is right then you don't need other people to tell you what to do. sometimes you need other people's opinion because you are confuse or don't know what's right from wrong. i don't think that people that don't go to church are going to hell. you are entitled to what you do. if you think and believe like other people, then you should go to church. this is all about religion, going to church and not going to church.

there are alot of judgmental people in this world, especially if they're religious.

Because religious ppl love to hate, N hating ppl who are not religious makes it seem okay. Stupid jerks. Thank GOD I'm athiest.
