Why is it that everyone goes to church on Easter Sunday?

i will probably have to go to church on easter sunday...i do not like church and do not believe everything they say nor do I like the politics or hypocricy...but i have an overbearing mother in law who tries to drag us there every sunday. i have lucked out the past few weeks because my hubby is working and i will not go without him!

That is a very good question. I was made to go to church every Sunday when I was a little girl and lived at home with my mom and dad. Mom made sure we went every Sunday. I noticed alot of people did not come to church either accept for Easter Sunday, but I know why also back then. They used to hand flower baskets out to those with the biggest family in the church, those who were married the longest, etc. Those people walked out of the church with the baskets and never returned again until the next Easter. I do not go to church anymore. Alot of them are a joke anymore. I choose to worshipp the lord in my own home.

Its a fashion show, just like on Mothers' Day and Christmas.
