Is 30 really considered the new 20's?

I am just 2 months away from being 30. They say in todays world 30's is the new 20's. Do you agree and why? I can remember when my mom was in her 30's and I used to think that was old. But know that I am knocking on 30. I will still feel and act like I am in my twenties.
