I think some classical movies will do give you a wonderful weekend!
My recommend you God Father, Starwars and Lord of Rings. These three are just so classical that everyone should take a chance to watch.
Moreover, if you do not like the movies above, Roma Holiday will be a nice choice, ain't it?

I know Starwars and Lord of Rings are kinda science fiction films.I want to see those more close to our daily life.

I don't like love stories that are sad either. I recommend the romantic comedy While You Were Sleeping with Sandra Bullock. It had me crying, but the mushy crying where I'm thinking, oh if only he lived near me! LOL, also a good one is Sense and Sensibility. It's a rather wise, yet feeling, intelligent romantic movie.

I recommend "The American President" with Michael Douglas. It's a romantic comedy, but has some great serious moments about love and politics. Also "As Good As It Gets". Two of my favorites.

Hoho,"Romance on the orient express" is quiet terrific, which is a love story we can judge by the name. The film seems somewhat a bit old, since it was published more than 20 years ago,I like the plot of the story. And I just came across it on TV several years ago,now it is lucky that we can find the film on the net of tudou.

Nowadays I found it's not easy to meet a good movie. As to a love and not sad movie, I recommend Mrs. Doubtfire. It was a very funny movie and I laugh a lot whenever I watch it. It's not a new movie. I think perhaps it is a movie on about 1995.

I'll recommend Entrapment, a romantic thriller movie; The Godfather (part 1), The Fountain, Forest Gump, As Good As It Get, The Deer Hunter, Falling in Love (De Niro, Streep), Rain Man, Kramer vs Kramer. Above all, you must watch The Simpsons.
